UPDATE:

Capitol 400 Banquet

The Capitol 400 Banquet will begin at 6pm with a cash bar Happy Hour located in the Grand Canyon Ballroom where the banquet will be held.  Drinks will be served until dinner service begins at 7pm.

The buffet dinner will begin promptly at 7pm in the Grand Canyon Ballroom.  The menu selections are superb.  You will have your choice of:

Chicken Caprese:  Sautéed breast of chicken topped with Roma tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil, finished with basil pesto cream sauce and balsamic glaze.

Salmon:  Baked Atlantic salmon with fresh Parmesan cheese and a pinch of fresh ground horseradish, encrusted with lemon dill Beurre Blanc.

Bourbon BBQ Beef Brisket:  Slow roasted brisket of beef, smothered with Bourbon caramelized onion and our house-made BBQ sauce.

These proteins will be accompanied by mashed potatoes, baby carrots and broccoli, a house salad and rolls and butter.  Regular and decaf coffee, iced tea and milk are also included.

Most items on the menu are gluten-free.

If you requested a vegan, vegetarian or other special meal, you should have received a special ticket with your registration materials.  Please bring that ticket with you to the banquet to ensure the servers are able to deliver the correct meal to you.

Immediately following dinner (approximately 8pm), the MidWest Region Members Meeting will be held.  Following the meeting, our guest speaker, Tony Koester, will provide our after dinner entertainment.

Breakfast

If you are a Radisson Hotel guest, your full buffet breakfast is included in your room fee.  Breakfast normally begins at 6:30am on weekdays and 7am on weekends, but we have arranged to have the breakfast open at 6:30am on Saturday to allow enough time to eat and get to your 8am clinic on time.  Just show your room ticket to the hostess or wait staff.

If you are not a Radisson Hotel guest, you can still partake of the Saturday morning early buffet breakfast for a cost of $12.95.

Rail Registration

Full Rail registration entitles you to access to all activities including operating sessions, layout tours, clinics, contest rooms and the banquet Saturday night.

Full Non-Rail registration entitles you to participate in all Non-Rail activities and tours as well as Project Linus, layout tours and the banquet Saturday night.

You must be an NMRA member to participate in convention activities. If you are not currently an NMRA member, you can purchase a full or Rail Pass membership online at nmra.org. Rail Pass memberships can also be purchased with your registration to Capitol 400.

Be sure to list the name and NMRA number of each person registering. Non-Rail registrants who are not NMRA members should check the Non-Rail box. 

All registrations include a delicious buffet banquet Saturday evening. For those with dietary restrictions, please be sure to specifically list those restrictions on your registration form; i.e., gluten free, vegetarian, etc., so we can be sure to provide an enjoyable meal for you.

If you wish to attend an Operating Session, please mark your registration form for 1st and 2nd choice for the afternoon or evening sessions. Assignments will be made on a first come-first served basis. You can sign up for either time slot or both. If the maximum number of operators is reached, we will assign you to your second choice on the same basis.  If all spots are filled, we will create a waiting list.

Be sure to list a contact mailing address, telephone number and email so we may contact you with questions or notifications.

Make checks payable to SCWD Capitol 400 and send to the address on the Registration Form. 

Early registrations must be received by March 31, 2018 to receive the Early Full Fares.

The host hotel is the Radisson Hotel on Grand Canyon Drive on Madison’s west side. Hotel rates and reservation information are now available AT THIS LINK. On the Radisson reservation page, on the left side there is a box titled "Modify Search."  In that box, list the requested Check-In and Check-Out dates, then press "Search Again" at the bottom of the box.  That will enter the dates of your stay.  Then choose your bed option in the larger box to the right.  A new screen will ask for your personal information and payment options.

Remember, the room rate includes a free, full buffet breakfast for each night’s stay.
