Model railroaders like to put their trains in an environment that recreates life and landscape in miniature like this scene on the home railroad of Phil Hottman. There are many examples of fine modeling at the Mad City Rail Show, in addition children will see a wide variety of colorful toy trains that run fast and create fun and excitement.  Photo by Tom Morrison  [Link to zip file of HiRes photo as .jpg]

The Mad City Model Railroad show occupies more than 90,000 square feet of exhibit space with more than half occupied by operating modular railroads with buildings and scenery. Pictured is a small town scene on Bob Boelter’s home railroad. Photo by Bob Boelter [link to HiRes zip file of photo]
